Agricultural Produce Market Committee was established in the year 1948 by the freedom fighter patriot Namdevraoji Jagtap. Swatantra Sainik Karmaveer P.M. was the first Chairman of the Market Committee. And Annasaheb Jagtap put work first. Purchased and acquired land in group number 104, 105, 106 adjacent to Karmala-Ahilyanagar and Karmala-Jamkhed road for the main market area of Karmala. 10 acres of land has been acquired along the sub-market of the Jeur area in the Karmala-Shetphal Road. Or the founder of Kami Bazar Samiti and the first MLA of Karmala assembly constituency, patriot Namdevraoji Jagtap worked tirelessly. Patriot A.Namdevraoji Jagtap served as Chairman of the Market Committee for a total of 22 years. Or, under his influence, he constructed basic and basic sleeping facilities in the Market Committee, which included wire fencing, roads, drains, water supply system, canteen, office building, compound wall, cell hall, bathroom, sanitary room, warehouse, Shetkari Niwas, post office etc. Plots for Patel, Buyer, Taluka Cooperative Purchase and Sale Association etc. have been constructed in the market yard. The market committee has regulated the phased sale of farm goods at various times through notifications of the state government. Karmala Market Committee is situated on the border of Ahilyanagar, Beed, Dharashiv and Pune districts and there is a huge problem for the farmers in the market yard. Due to the availability of land/exchange for the sale of Maape and twenty-four hundred farmers of their cattle, Navelukikas emerged as a reliable market place on the borders of five districts in a short period of time. Buyers from other states also started coming to Karmala Market Committee to purchase goods. But in the year 1989, when M.A. Shri Jaywantrao Namdevrao Jagtap assumed the post of Chairman of the Market Committee, all-round progress was achieved. Mr. Jagtap, in order to provide facilities to the people by selling the goods and getting the money from the market fee, organized a gathering of 150 traders in the market committee in the Wall Compound La Lagoon near Ahilya Nagar and Jamkhed Road. Through this, the well-educated unemployed farmers got employment opportunities through business and a market was created as a source of eternal production. Further, facilities like 18 godowns, sale hall, grain sieving equipment, 12 galleons and 36 Oats, vegetable market with all facilities, cattle market with all facilities, Ryat Bhawan, Shetkari Niwas, Dambri and cement concrete roads under the yard etc. were constructed at various places in Karmala Market Yard. To facilitate the farmers in doing economic transactions, Solapur District Central Cooperative Bank opened its Solapur branch in the market yard. Presently, Udid, Toor, Mugh, Jwari, Bajri, Harbhara, Maka etc. Shetmalachi are arriving in large quantities in Karmala market yard. With exception, Karmala Bazar Samiti is in Nafa/Wadhwa.
